RBKC The Innovation Fund

RBKC is inviting bids from business-support providers.

RBKC has piloted a successful Local Supplier Initiative over the past 15 months, helping small and medium sized businesses, particularly in the built environment, construction and design sector, get access to tender opportunities from major local developers, their contractors and the Council.

Contract value is up to £50,000 over 24 months.  Deadline for submission of bids is 27 September 2019.  Click here for further details. The project will play an important role in delivering key objectives of Our Plan for a Successful Local Economy.

The Innovation Fund

We are looking for innovative ideas that enhance the lives of our service users and members of the local communities in which we operate by:

  • Reducing social isolation both locally and for people who access our services and
  • Encouraging personal growth within the 5 Ways to Wellbeing

 

Funding Panel

The funding panels sit on a monthly basis the dates and times are determined based on the number of applications received and the availability of our panel members.

 

Who can apply?

We are looking for projects from residents (aged 18+), charities and not-for-profit groups located within the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster.

Grants are available to support new and innovative ideas, so we are unable to provide continuation for funding you are already receiving that is due to come to an end.

Comoodle is a programme that’s all about sharing stuff, skills and space to support great community projects.

 

We are pleased to say it will soon be available to the people of Hammersmith & Fulham as the programme has been funded by Mayor of London and LBHF.

 

How it works

  • You make available whatever you like via the website
  • You have full control of the content that is yours and the terms of use
  • Requests come to you
  • You decide if the group asking for the items can have them.

 

Members can ask for any item that’s on Comoodle. If what you want isn’t there, you can post on the message boards. People can offer things for free. You can ask for a donation or charge set fees if you are a not-for-profit business or charity.

About Hammersmith & Fulham Save Our NHS

Hammersmith & Fulham Save Our NHS (H&FSON) is a campaigning organisation set up by residents in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, initially to campaign against the downgrading/closure of Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals.

 

Since Charing Cross Hospital has now been saved, H&FSON now campaigns against cuts and privatisation in local community, primary and secondary NHS services and works with other campaign groups in NW London and nationally to protect the NHS as a publicly funded and publicly provided health service free at the point of delivery.

 

Job Title: Clerical/Administrative Worker

Purpose The primary function of the post is to ensure that clerical, and where appropriate administrative, support for the work of Hammersmith&Fulham Save Our NHS is provided.

  • Drug and Alcohol / Addiction Treatment,
  • Law and experience working with public sector bodies, especially in public health and/or arts commissioning.

 

For twenty years, Outside Edge Theatre Company’s groundbreaking workshops and acting ensemble have inspired positive change in recovering addicts.

Using drama as a creative outlet, we help participants build confidence, self-esteem and the skills required to lead productive, healthy lives free from substance misuse.

We have produced our professional theatre productions about issues related to addiction across the country from treatment facilities to off-West End venues.

 

We are currently seeking Trustees to work with newly appointed Artistic Director and CEO Matt Steinberg to help lead Outside Edge Theatre Company in its exciting next stage of development and growth. Our AD / CEO manages a full-time Administration and Projects Coordinator and a passionate team of freelance facilitators to deliver our unique programme of work.

The role is primary to:

  • Providing mentoring support to a caseload of boys from referred families
  • Monitoring family welfare and problem-solving on cases

Crowdfunding launch – 10 September

 

 

” We are delighted to announce that we are extending our partnership with Spacehive to provide a crowdfunding platform for the borough.

This initiative aims to give residents with project ideas the ability to attract funding from the community, council, businesses and foundations through one portal”.

 

To celebrate our continuing partnership we will be hosting a launch event at our Colindale office on the 10th September, and we welcome you to join us.

The event will look to bring together local funders, community groups, and council representatives and will provide the opportunity for you to learn more about what Crowdfund Barnet has to offer, how to get involved and how to support.

 

We are also pleased to announce we will be joined by the founder of GROW, Radio and TV Presenter George Lamb, who will be telling us about his newly funded project.

We will also be joined by Bob Burstow, member of Chipping Town Team, and founder of the Teenage Markets project which has been running successfully for over a year now.

This forum brings together voluntary sector and statutory providers/stakeholders of Sexual Health and Reproductive Health / HIV services in Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

 

 

It aims to improve the quality of life experienced by local residents through the development of a robust, recognised sexual health forum that:

  • builds the capacity of its members
  • promotes the delivery of holistic and responsive sexual health services
  • facilitates the achievement of excellence.

 

 

Topics for this forum include: 

  • Learning disabilities and access to Sexual Health services
  • Overcoming boundaries with Sex Workers
  • Psychosexual issues

Sobus are offering space to local artists and entrepreneurs for displaying their work at our hubs in Fulham and North Kensington.

 

Space to display work on the walls is free of charge, or we can hire out the hubs for exhibitions at reasonable rates.
