Due to popular demand our free digital marketing workshops have returned! With the Covid-19 national lockdown requiring many businesses to close, Hammersmith & Fulham Council is helping local businesses to boost their online presence asas the nation emerges from the latest Covid-19 lockdown. The virtual workshops will be delivered by Samer Bata from the Knowledge Acedemy to give business owners the essential digital skills they need to promote their business online.

Who can attend?

The training is open to all businesses in H&F and local residents looking to start a new business.

What will I learn in the workshops?

The workshops will focus on –

Building simple and effective marketing strategies
Mobile marketing platforms
Social Media
Email Marketing
Search Engine Marketing
When will the workshops begin?

There are five separate course dates to choose from with each course consisting of two sessions (each session lasts three hours and will take place via Zoom). Each course is open to 30 people. The time and dates are:

Course 1 : 26 and 27 April 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 2 : 3 and 4 May 2021 , 6pm to 9pm

Course 3: 10 and 11 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 4 : 17 and 18 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 5 : 24 and 25 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

A hundred different things – Silver Sunday and People First

Silver Sunday is a day of fun and free activities for older people which celebrates the value and knowledge they contribute to our communities. Loneliness and isolation is an increasing problem and the day also aims to draw those at risk into the community for a fun, stimulating day out, meeting new people.

What is People First?

People First is the core Information and Advice web service for residents, staff and fellow professionals, run by the Adult Social Care departments of Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. Our aim is to provide easy-to-use, jargon free and engaging information in a bright visual way that will help keep people stay safe, well and independent.

There is no application process – just encourage your customers to say you’re the best! Promote the awards in store and online and ask people to nominate you at the awards website. Each nomination counts as a vote.
Closing date for nominations is Thursday 12 November 2015.

Business Plan?

This practical workshop will focus on helping you to develop your Business Plan, to include the role of the management team, and financial analysis. More Trusts and Local Authorities now want a full Business Plan as part of the required documents with your funding applications.

Planning helps an organisation chart a course for the achievement of its goals. The process begins with reviewing the current operations of the organisation and identifying what needs to be improved operationally in the upcoming year. From there, planning involves envisioning the results the organization wants to achieve, and determining the steps necessary to arrive at the intended destination—success.

Catalyst Leadership Course

CATALYST LEADERSHIP COURSE
Free, accredited 5 day course for young adults with an interest in faith and community in London starting on Wednesday 28th October 2015

Inquisitive and passionate Londoners aged 16-25 are invited to take part in a free 5 day training course on 28th, 29th, 30th October & 8th & 15th November based at Heythrop College in Kensington.

Catalyst is one of the UK’s most dynamic and interactive young leader training programmes. It involves a range of activities and learning opportunities based on themes such as: Networking, Leadership, Teamwork, Inter Faith, Communication and Community. The course runs between 10am-5pm each day, and it is required to attend all days (why would you miss out?!)

Catalyst allows young people to explore controversial and sensitive issues in an open, friendly and supportive environment. The programme develops teamwork and provides leadership skills in a non-academic environment that make a real difference in communities. It’s particularly good for:
• Youth, charity or community workers;
• those involved in or who’ve just finished formal education;
• those considering career options or;
• anyone who has been waiting for a chance to be challenged and identify their skills!

The programme is run by the St Phillip’s Centre in Leicester and is made available for free to young people in London through Near Neighbours. Don’t miss out! Email:applications@kingscentresouthall.org.uk for an application form – candidates must apply as soon as possible to secure a place.
