The PEACE (People, Ethnicity, Age, and Community Engagement) Project is a cross borough partnership between PLIAS Resettlement and Nubian Life Resource Centre. They have been awarded £10,000 from Big Lottery Fund’s Celebrate programme, which will be used to create a PEACE Wall to be unveiled in September 2017 to coincide with World Peace Day. London Spark would like to invite you to our workshop, Meet your Polish Neighbours https://www.facebook.com/meetyourpolishneighbours/. The project was funded by London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham and the next event will be held on 29th of March at 6 pm at the Polish Centre (POSK). We will re-create some folk traditions and also trace national patterns in cosmopolitan art, from the hut in Lipniki to the halls of the most luxurious palaces. There will be delicious food prepared by our host and occasion to sing in Polish together.

Westminster City Council is producing a voluntary and community sector strategy and want to include best practise examples of where voluntary sector organisations have formed a strong relationship with a business partner, particularly where a business provides a regular service like pro bono advice/training, strategic advice on business planning/marketing/fundraising etc. Useful info would include:
- How did the relationship come about? i e how did they get connected?
- What the business is doing/has done for the VCS org i e it’s actual contribution
- Successes and challenges

The Cardinal Hume Centre is looking to recruit an experienced manager and learning practitioner who will develop the learning on offer to ensure it is integrated across all services in the Centre and ensure that the learning service supports the client journey into employment where possible. In collaboration with Crowdfunder and The Social Innovation Partnership, Trust for London and City Bridge Trust have launched a £100,000 fund available to organisations using crowdfunding to raise funds and deliver projects that will address inequality and lift people out of poverty in the capital.
Called Improving life for Londoners, this fund will provide up to 50% of the target (to a maximum of £10,000), with projects expected to raise at least the first 25% from the crowd. The Tri-borough is keen to get your views on future plans for Extra Care Housing across the boroughs of Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea to ensure that it gives people the best care experience possible. Extra Care Housing provides accommodation plus 24-hour care and support to predominantly older people.

Everyone encounters difficult people on a regular basis and typically conversations with them leave people feeling frustrated, stressed, angry and tired. This webinar will analyze what is happening in those exchanges and demonstrate how people can adapt their strategies to bring about more productive conversations with those they find difficult.
