Healthwatch are collecting the questions and concerns of those affected by the fire at Grenfell Tower.

As Healthwatch we have statutory power to hold the NHS and the Local Council to account. By law organisations who plan, run, and regulate health and social care services have to listen to our comments and respond within 20 working days. The PEACE (People, Ethnicity, Age and Community Engagement) Project, a cross borough partnership between Nubian Life Resource Centre and PLIAS Resettlement funded by The Big Lottery will be launching a Peace Wall as part of an intergenerational project. The intergenerational project has worked with communities from all cultural & faith backgrounds in Brent and Hammersmith and Fulham. The Peace Wall aims to remind, inform, educate and raise awareness about the importance of peace.

We are pleased to invite you to Hammersmith and Fulham Clinical Commissioning Group’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 12 September 2017. The meeting begins at 5.30pm, but if you arrive at 5pm there is an opportunity to enjoy refreshments (including tea and coffee) and to find out more about what our individual teams, Healthwatch, Sobus, and our small grant project leads are working on at our market place stalls.

The purpose of the AGM is for the CCG, stakeholders, partners and local people to come together and enjoy a lively discussion about the CCG’s key achievements so far, and plans to improve healthcare in Hammersmith and Fulham. We will present our annual report and accounts, which are also available on our website, then take questions from stakeholders, patients and members of the public.

Our achievements include:

  • Full rollout of our successful GP access scheme offering bookable appointments with GPs and practice nurses on weekday evenings and at weekend
  • 24 hour Single Point of Access (SPA) telephone number for patients or carers of patients experiencing a mental health crisis went live
  • Launched Child Health scheme to train GPs to act as local champions for child health and help children get the best start in life


Our future plans
Our vision for health services is to develop personalised, localised, integrated and specialised care for local people and over the last 12 months we have continued to deliver real improvements to local services. We have played a key role in driving forward transformational activity at a local level as well as being a leading player in the agenda set out nationally by Simon Stevens in the Five Year Forward View. At the AGM, you will hear about the progress and the achievements we have made. We will present our annual report and accounts (available on our website). If you have a query to which you would like a formal response, please submit this to hf.ccg@nw.london.nhs.uk up to 48 hours prior to the AGM. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the CCG Governing Body on the evening

This is a key role within a dynamic team and would suit a proactive and motivated team player. We are looking for an Office Manager to organise and carry out administration duties and office procedures. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a similar role with good inter-personal skills and excellent IT skills (knowledge of MS Office and Outlook is essential). You will be required to support managers and project coordinators administratively in their duties, ensuring the smooth running of the office.

Salary:  £23,000pa/ Pro rata for part time hours (Including London weighting)

Local GPs are reminding residents in Hammersmith & Fulham that it is easier to make a GP appointment at a time that suits them, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

In addition to existing GP services, GPs and nurses can now offer patients appointments from 6pm-9pm, Monday to Friday and from 8am-8pm, Saturday and Sunday.
