Grants of between £100,000 and £1 million are available to UK charities and not-for-profit organisations for projects that help disabled people feel empowered and supported to travel independently on public transport. The funding is made available through Motability’s Travelling with Confidence Grants Programme, which has been designed to look at both the policy and practice to make the transport sector more inclusive as well as provide information, support and training to enable disabled people to use public transport. There is a two-stage application process. Motability aim to respond to all stage one applications within four weeks. The programme will run until the end of March 2025.
