The 2021-22 round of the Tampon Tax Fund (£11.25 million) will close to applications at midnight on Sunday 4 July 2021. Grants of £350,000 or more are available to organisations delivering projects that improve the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged women and girls or support those affected by or at risk of violence or abuse. Grants of up to £2,000 are available to support the needs of vulnerable children and young people who have experienced a recent crisis or change in life that has had a significant impact on their social and emotional wellbeing and their education. The funding is being made available through the Buttle UK’s Chances for Children Grants. Support might include items and activities to support learning and development such as laptops, books, wi-fi, educational toys, tuition, etc; clothing and school uniforms; and social, sporting and leisure activities; and items for children/young people’s bedrooms. The National Lottery Community Fund has announced that round 2 of the £4 million Local Connections Fund has re-opened for applications. The Local Connections Fund provides grants of £300 – £2,500 to small, local organisations (with an annual income of £50,000 or less) that are working to reduce loneliness by helping people build connections across their communities. A total of £2 million is available in this funding round. Organisations that received funding in the first round, will not be eligible for funding in the second round.
