Hammersmith & Fulham Council is looking at how we can work better with local organisations to plan for emergency situations in the borough. So we’re organising our first ever ‘Emergency Response Hackathon’.

When: Tuesday 19 September, 5.30-9.00pm
Where: Assembly Hall, Hammersmith Town Hall, King Street, Hammersmith, London W6 9JU

This ‘hackathon’ will be an evening of discussion and activities about the roles local groups can play in an emergency event. It will cover everything from co-ordinating volunteers, sorting and distributing donations and providing storage space, to helping with bereavement support or counselling services. We want to make sure that, in an emergency, we can all feel like we know what we can do to help, who to get in touch with, when, and how.
Come to our event and join us in creating a new era of collaborative working across Hammersmith & Fulham. Places at the event are limited. Please RSVP to internal.communications@lbhf.gov.uk by Friday 8 September.

The One Westminster Volunteers’ Fair will take place on Tuesday 3 October from 1pm- 3.30pm at Stowe Centre, W2  5ES (nearest underground- Royal Oak, Buses 18 and 36). It is free to have a table and lunch will be provided.
Quotes from organisations who attended last year’s Volunteers’ Fair included:  ‘Absolutely brilliant’  ‘Achieved goal of recruiting volunteers and raising awareness of charity’ and ‘Great to see such a great turn out’.

Implementing the Five Year forward View
20th September 2017 – RSM, London

Govconnect are delighted to announce that our inaugural Mental Health – Implementing the Five Year forward View conference will be held on the 20th September 2017 at the RSM, London.

The Five Year Forward View for Mental Health has made an unarguable case for transforming mental health care in England, a single programme, but one which includes numerous different, related elements across the health system for all ages.

Implementing the Five Year Forward View published in mid-2016 was a welcomed and timely roadmap. This conference will outline the core elements of the implementation plan and will review and assess the actions for each of the key objectives.
