Smoking remains one of the leading preventable causes of ill health and early mortality, contributing to serious conditions such as heart disease, respiratory illness, cancer, and poorer mental health. It is also a key driver of health inequalities within our local communities.

This online session on 13th April 11.30am-1pm aims to raise awareness of the risks associated with smoking, highlight the benefits of quitting, and provide clear information about the free, non-judgemental support available to help people stop smoking.

During the webinar, we will cover:

  • The health risks associated with smoking
  • The benefits of quitting at any stage
  • The support available through our local Stop Smoking & Wellbeing Service
  • How individuals and professionals can access or refer into the service
  • The webinar is open to members of the public, professionals, and community partners, and we would be grateful if you could share this invitation with colleagues or anyone who may benefit from attending.

Running a business is busy work. And we know that finding time to access training and guidance opportunities can be tricky.

That’s why we offer a mix of online and in-person support – so that you can make these resources work for you.

This month, opportunities include:

Looking for more in-person events? Find new contacts and local connections at our Hammersmith.Networking and H&F Local Supplier Project networking sessions.

If you are looking to invest locally, you can give back to the local community by donating or even sponsoring part of our annual Big Christmas Day Lunch for older residents who would otherwise be celebrating alone.

Are you keen to talk though issues with other Chairs who share similar challenges and can share experiences and ideas? Do you want to build a network of Chairs who you can chat to?

We’re pleased to offer monthly face-to-face peer support sessions in London, designed to offer you support and help you build a network of Chairs you can call on for ideas, and encouragement.

This month’s session will be on 23.10.25, 5.30-8.30pm, chaired by the co-chairs of Board Racial Diversity UK, Lena Bheeroo and Dalton Leong. Case study theme: Co-chairs of a new charity come together for the first time, needing to not only build their board, but also develop a strategy for a sustainable future. With their inspirational founder stepping away, how do they keep momentum? What if funding runs out? When does succession planning start?
