Charities supporting sick and disadvantaged people across the UK can apply for grants of up to £2,500 from the Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust – Ann Rylands Small Donations programme. Funding is intended to support projects of a humanitarian nature or supplement core funding, with priority given to organisations supporting the elderly, people with disabilities or living with serious illness, or those facing challenges with mental health, social exclusion, homelessness or other difficulties in their lives. Previous projects funded include the Scotts Project Trust which supports adults with learning disabilities, SERVE which supports independent living, and Alive Activities which enriches the lives of older people in care and trains their carers.
