Magic Little Grants 2021

Grants of £500 are available to charities, community groups and schools that are either in their first year of operation of have an annual income of under £250,000. The fund will support the following themes:

1. Improving mental wellbeing
2. Enabling community participation in the arts
3. Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
4. Supporting marginalised groups and promoting equality
5. Improving biodiversity and green spaces
6. Enabling participation in physical activity
7. Responding to the climate emergency and promoting sustainability
8. Increasing community access to outdoor space

Funding for Creative & Mental Health Opportunities for Ethnically Diverse Communities (UK)

The Baring Foundation’s Arts Programme has launched a new Fund supporting projects that promote the use of art to address mental health problems in people from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Grants of between £10,000 and £40,000 are available to charities and not-for-profit arts organisations that focus on offering creative opportunities to people living with mental health problems in ethnically diverse communities across the UK. The type of work funded might include shadowing, internships or apprenticeships, or mentoring or free training opportunities. £500,000 is available in total for this Fund, and the Foundation expects to award in the region of fifteen or more grants. The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 21st April 2021.Click here

The aim of £1 million challenge fund is to incentivise innovators to address socially impactful issues facing London, help the city emerge stronger from COVID-19 and ensure the capital is prepared for future disruptive challenges. Hammersmith & Fulham Law Centre are recruiting a new CEO to join their team.

Chief Executive Officer
Salary: £45 – £50,000 per annuum
Hours: 35
Contract: Full time (but will consider part-time, flexible hours and job share)
Annual leave: 30 days
Pension: 5.6%

We are a vibrant, forward thinking law centre co-located in Hammersmith Library. We have a strong reputation locally and nationally for providing people in need with legal advice and representation and campaigning on access to justice issues.

The law centre was established in November 1979 to assist those most vulnerable and disadvantaged to access their legal rights, to promote social inclusion and reduce homelessness and poverty. These goals still remain at the core of our vision to uphold equality and social justice.

We have a 40-year history of providing an excellent service to the community. Our patron is Lady Hale, retired president of the Supreme Court.
