Westminster City Council is producing a voluntary and community sector strategy and want to include best practise examples of where voluntary sector organisations have formed a strong relationship with a business partner, particularly where a business provides a regular service like pro bono advice/training, strategic advice on business planning/marketing/fundraising etc. Useful info would include:

  • How did the relationship come about? i e how did they get connected?
  • What the business is doing/has done for the VCS org i e it’s actual contribution
  • Successes and challenges

The Cardinal Hume Centre is looking to recruit an experienced manager and learning practitioner who will develop the learning on offer to ensure it is integrated across all services in the Centre and ensure that the learning service supports the client journey into employment where possible.  The closing date for applications is 13 March, midnight. In collaboration with Crowdfunder and The Social Innovation Partnership, Trust for London and City Bridge Trust have launched a £100,000 fund available to organisations using crowdfunding to raise funds and deliver projects that will address inequality and lift people out of poverty in the capital.

Called Improving life for Londoners, this fund will provide up to 50% of the target (to a maximum of £10,000), with projects expected to raise at least the first 25% from the crowd. The Tri-borough is keen to get your views on future plans for Extra Care Housing across the boroughs of Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea to ensure that it gives people the best care experience possible. Extra Care Housing provides accommodation plus 24-hour care and support to predominantly older people.

Each month ACHIEVE offers one complimentary webinar. Everyone encounters difficult people on a regular basis and typically conversations with them leave people feeling frustrated, stressed, angry and tired.
