Safeguarding Children and Young People and Equalities
This training session delivered by Engage London will help increase participants’ awareness of safeguarding practices that meet the needs of all equalities groups. It will cover:
• Protected equalities groups
• Prevalence of abuse
• Child abuse definition
• Signs and indicators of possible child abuse
• Areas that impact on children and young people’s development and survival
• Legislation and procedural guidance
• Overview of Safe Network and the resources
• Sharing good practice
