Women’s Resource Centre has announced that grants of £10,000 are now available for Black and minoritised women’s organisations, led-by-and-for women, which have been impacted by the pandemic. Grants can be used for the general running costs of your organisation. To be eligible, your organisation must deliver services in England and have an annual turnover under £350,000. Hope Beyond programme are offering grants of up to £50,000 to churches and Christian charities meeting changing needs within their communities in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The aim of the grants is to help Christian organisations to tackle issues such as loneliness and isolation, improve mental health and wellbeing and build digital resilience. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to local charities and not for profit organisations for projects that will fix, repair, maintain and improve properties and community facilities for of those in need in the UK. The funding is being made available through the Screwfix Foundations and the grants are available for all kinds of projects, from repairing buildings and improving facilities in deprived areas, to decorating the homes of people living with sickness and disabilities. UK-based volunteering or community service projects, organised and run by people under 30 years old, can apply for up to £500 for actions that directly or indirectly respond to COVID-19. The funding is being made available through the Alec Dickson Trust. Applications must align with Public Health England guidance on how to volunteer safely during the pandemic. Voice4Change England has launched a second round of their Covid-19 Partnership Fund to help small BAME-led charities, voluntary and community groups, and social enterprises tackle the disproportionate impact of Covid-19 on Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities in England. The fund will provide organisations with grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 to deal with emerging issues in the community, as a result of the continuing threat of coronavirus, the need for self-isolation, and potential for further exacerbation of loneliness and isolation. Groups can apply for help with current costs to deliver Covid-19 services, including mental health and wellbeing services and sports activities. The Volant Trust are offering grants of up to £15,000 per annum to charities in the UK and internationally that demonstrate a strong focus on alleviating social deprivation and helping vulnerable groups who have been particularly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Applications for medical equipment and the production or distribution of PPE will also be considered. Applications are open till December 31st 2021. Online fundraising platform Localgiving, together with the Postcode Community Trust have announced that this year’s Magic Little Grants grants programme has re-opened for applications. Small charities. community groups, school and groups connected to schools can apply for grants of up to £500 to launch or strengthen their services. To be eligible applicant organisations will need to have an annual income of below £250,000. As well as receiving a Magic Little Grant, successful organisations that are new to Localgiving will also be given a free annual membership with Localgiving worth £96. This membership gives them access to all of Localgiving’s wider online fundraising services, such as regular fundraising campaigns and training. The next round of the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust’s Rights and Justice programme is open for applications. The Funding priorities for this scheme are the protection and promotion of human rights and their enforcement in the UK; promoting rights and justice for minorities who face the most severe forms of racism; the promotion of rights and justice for refugees and other migrants; and responding to the dual harms of Covid-19 and systemic racism. The Trust makes grants to a range of organisations including registered, excepted or exempt charities across the UK.
