The Aviva Community Fund offers year-round support to causes that are building stronger, more resilient and sustainable communities across the UK. Do you know a cause that could benefit? The next round is open until 6th July. Find out more and how to apply here.
On the 27th April, we met with some of our local funders: Hammersmith United Charities; Dr Edwards and Bishop King’s Fulham Charity; and UNITED in Hammersmith and Fulham. Kensington and Chelsea were also represented with a local funder.
We had 66 participant organisations interacting with the funders about potential applications. And what was really good was that the funders expressed what they liked to see in terms of applications, as well as talking about their priorities. The whole event lasted about 1 and a half hours and everyone, who wanted to, got to speak to the funder.
Grants of between £200 and £500 are available to peer support, mutual aid or self-help groups in England and Wales for activities which benefit people or communities who live with mental ill-health, trauma and distress. The funding is being made available through the National Survivor User Network’s Side by Side Fund and can be used to help community member-led groups to connect remotely, prepare to move their activities to face-to-face, or make their group more sustainable. Applications are particularly encouraged from groups led by and for people from racialised communities/people of colour, young people aged 18 to 25 years, and groups who have been unable to meet during the coronavirus pandemic. The deadline for applications is the 31st May 2021. Click here
Businesses across the UK are being invited to collaborate with an academic or research organisation on a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP), a scheme that helps businesses and not for profit organisations to innovate and grow. Up to £40 million in total is available for part funding of KTPs that will offer businesses the opportunity to access new skills and the latest academic thinking to help them deliver a specific, strategic innovation project. KTPs can last between 12 and 36 months, depending on the project and the needs of the business. The deadline for applications to Innovate UK for this round is the 30th June 2021. Click here
