The National Grid Electricity Distribution has launched a £500,000 fund to support charities and community groups in helping vulnerable households reduce energy costs and stay warm this winter.
Registered charities or non-profit companies limited by guarantee can apply for up to £5,000, while constituted charitable organisations without a charity number can apply for up to £2,000.
Applications are open until 5pm on Friday 1 November 2024.

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act has given Companies House more powers to improve the accuracy of the data we hold and crack down on misuse of the register.
Companies that do not comply with their legal duties (for example, not filing their confirmation statement on time) could now face financial penalties.
We’ll continue to support businesses to comply with their legal duties and will take a consistent and proportionate approach to these new powers.
