This is to invite those groups, who are in the process of developing their capacity, to a opening event run by a charity called Pilotlight. The charity Pilotlight is a unique, capacity building organisation offering free tailored strategic planning support to charities and social enterprises that are tackling disadvantage in the UK. They match  charity leaders and social enterprise leaders with teams of senior business people and facilitate a year long engagement to plan for sustainability, development and growth.

Sobus is pleased to be able to work with Pilotlight to secure placements for organisations registered with us. The process will involve an introductory session which will be held on either 24th June at 3:30pm or 27th June at 9:00am. These opening session will last 2 hours. After this you will be asked to make a formal application should you be interested in taking up a place on the Pilotlight programme.  The whole process lasts for 10 – 12 months and requires you to attend mentoring sessions with a team of business leaders who guide you through a planned process enabling your organisation develop. I would strongly suggest that this would help organisations that struggle with funding and require added support.

The post carries responsibility for line management of a team of 5 part-time administrators and non-clinical line management of 30 counsellors.

The position will work across our two offices in Richmond and Kingston with some travel to other locations as necessary to fulfil the duties of the role.

Clinks and LVSC invite you to a workshop with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on how to share information about health and care services for offenders in London and encourage services to be ‘outstanding’. CQC would like to build contacts with user and advocacy groups supporting people in the criminal justice system in London to better understand the quality of care they receive.

  • Do you have clients whose health and care needs are not being met?
  • Are your staff or volunteers having to spend more time and energy supporting clients with their health needs, or to navigate health and care services?

If so, this is your chance to tell CQC about the quality of health and care services and help them identify good and poor care.

Meet with CQC inspectors to share your experiences of health and care services (including GPs, hospitals, mental health, prison healthcare and social care services) and discuss where services need to be improved.

Clinks members tell us that both the variety and severity of your clients’ needs are increasing, while at the same time health and care services are being cut back and those that remain are under constant pressure.

The CQC inspect and regulate health and social care services (in prison and in the community) to ensure they are delivering safe, effective, high quality care to all their patients. They want to hear your stories, and the stories of people you support, of how health and care services in London are delivering for people in contact with the Criminal Justice System.

The event is free to attend; and vouchers and travel expenses can be paid for volunteers and service users. Please note this event is not aimed at service providers who are regulated by CQC.

The Domestic Violence Worker will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process. They will work within the team to make proactive contact attempts with high volumes of new referrals and once this contact is established complete initial needs and risk assessments. They shall provide initial advice and crisis safety planning before the case is allocated to an IDVA/caseworker or referred to the appropriate partner agency for ongoing support. They will provide this high quality support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice, civil remedies, housing and related matters. They will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from aged 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They hold a caseload of standard and medium risk clients as well as clients going through the criminal justice system. They will advise women on criminal justice and civil remedies and related matters, support women to attend court where necessary, and coordinate the provision of multi-agency support. Part of the role will to be to establish positive, proactive and innovative working relationships with services providing services to clients and partner agencies within the Angelou Partnership.

The post holder will work across the three boroughs under the guidance of the team leaders and project manager.
The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse sector. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with a high volume of clients who have complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Through this strategy, and the hard work which will follow, the Health and Wellbeing Board aims to drive forward even closer working between health, social care, the voluntary sector and other partners, improve people’s experience of health and care services and ensure the financial sustainability of the local system into the future.

This process provides an opportunity for all partners across Hammersmith & Fulham to agree collectively how we will work together to improve our resident’s health and wellbeing over the next five years and transform people’s experience of health and social care services.

To inform the development of our strategy, we are hosting a workshop with local stakeholders to discuss collective ambitions for the borough and how we will transform health and care services locally over the next five years

The workshop is an opportunity to hear from senior directors, managers and commissioners and feed your views and comments into the strategy development process.
