My name is Claudia, and I am a Research Officer at the Self-Care Academic Research Unit (SCARU) at Imperial College London. I’m reaching out to invite your support to help us recruit participants to the FOCUS Research Study which is being led by our research unit. Our ethically approved FOCUS study is exploring how people living with osteoarthritis manage their symptoms using lifestyle medicine approaches (with a focus on using anti-inflammatory diet to support self-management of OA symptoms). I am emailing you as perhaps some of the people who reach out to you may suffer with this condition and so may be interested in being a part of research.

The ethically approved research study has the potential to shape how we understand and support the use of food-as-medicine in OA management. By helping us connect with individuals living with OA, we believe your organisation can play a key role in advancing scientific knowledge & ultimately improving the quality of life for millions affected by this condition.

We’re looking to identify up to 20 individuals with OA to participate in personal interviews (30–45 minutes, via Zoom or Teams) and be scheduled at the participant’s convenience. All responses will be kept confidential, and each conversation will provide valuable insights to guide future health strategies and support systems.

Please reach out to me via email claudia.hobbs@ic.ac.uk or on 0207 574 7604 if you’d like to be interviewed.
