On Tuesday 22 February 2022 we will be holding the next Grenfell Community Assembly and we would love to get as many North Kensington residents involved as possible.
The meeting, as voted for by local residents, will focus on community safety and be held from 5.30pm until 8pm at Al Manaar Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre, Acklam Road, W10 5YG.
Following concerns around public health, we planned to host the event online via Zoom. However, due to the change in government guidance and our understanding that residents prefer to attend the Assemblies in-person, we have decided to proceed with February’s event face-to-face.
From 5.30pm, attendees will be offered refreshments and the chance to visit information stalls before taking part in a number of roundtable discussions from 6pm that will cover the following themes:
-
- • Serious youth violence
• Violence against women and girls
• Modern slavery
• Anti-social behaviour
• Hate crime
• General community safety
- • Serious youth violence
This is an opportunity for residents to communicate constructively and share any thoughts and concerns directly with members of the Grenfell community, representatives from the Council and officers from the Met Police.
After the event, we will provide a written record of the discussions along with a document detailing how the Council and its partner agencies plan to respond to any issues raised throughout the Assembly.
