We seek to appoint a dynamic Project Coordinator with a proven track record in project development and partnership working with a strong understanding of the Coordinated Community Response (CCR).
Standing Together coordinates the ground breaking multi-agency response to domestic abuse. Our work is recognised nationally and we continue to influence local and national policy and practice by initiating and driving innovative projects.
Our key mission is to work with agencies within the CCR framework to provide safer options for survivors and their children, ensuring that their perspectives are at the centre of service planning and delivery. We also aim to improve the way agencies respond to perpetrators, in particular in holding them to account for their abuse.
The role will focus on the coordination and development of projects related to health, children and young people in the Tri-Borough (Westminster, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea). This includes, but is not limited to, the delivery of training to improve services and responses to survivors and their children and coordinating the Operational Group comprising professionals from both the statutory and voluntary sector agencies.

White City Enterprise wishes to appoint a highly motivated individual with extensive experience of project and volunteer management. We have a longstanding history of developing and managing innovative volunteering projects which recruit members from local communities to participate in leading the delivery of initiatives to support their community in meeting identified needs.
Our volunteer Champions will engage service users and residents to identify and respond to local health and wellbeing concerns; and will work alongside key services to help improve access, experience and effectiveness. Our project will help to promote access to the new Parkview Health Centre in W12. It will enhance service users’ experience by providing a welcoming and supportive face on arrival and signposting to services in the centre as needed. Champions will also apply their local knowledge to work with relevant partners to design and deliver targeted campaigns and activities to improve knowledge, awareness and behaviour change in specific areas of health and wellbeing.
We are looking for a well-organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual for the Community Champions Project Manager post. You will bring to the role project management skills and experience, budget management and monitoring and reporting on delivery; preferably in health and wellbeing projects. You will have experience of coordinating volunteers and have the ability to engage and apply creative techniques for recruiting, motivating and supervising volunteers. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, both with individuals and in group settings. You will be a confident communicator, applying positive communication skills to engage with diverse communities. With partnership working at the heart of our project, you would bring to the role an ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of organisations and professionals. You will be able to work in an ever changing environment, with an ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.

Works4U is the not-for-profit social enterprise of the Hammersmith & Fulham Volunteer Centre, we facilitate volunteers from businesses and corporates to support the local community. In the last week alone we have helped 350 business volunteers to support some great local charities such as St Vincent’s Care Home, Hestia, Bishop’s Park, Elgin Close Care Home and Mencap. The support provided through these projects is a wide mix of activities from gardening, befriending, maintenance work and decorating, with the business paying for all materials and equipment.

The Floating Support Worker will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process specialising in working with clients for whom housing and risk of tenancy breakdown is a factor. They will work within the team to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women from age 13, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. They will advise women on criminal justice and civil remedies and related matters, support women to attend court where necessary, and coordinate the provision of multi-agency support. They will focus on working with clients to maintain their tenancies and prevent homelessness in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Part of the role will be to establish positive, proactive and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies within the Angelou Partnership. The post holder will work across the three boroughs under the guidance of the team leaders and project manager.

Applications required from London charities working with vulnerable children for “new and improved” Christmas Challenge match-funding campaign

The Big Give has announced that charities will be able to apply for their annual match-funding campaign, The Christmas Challenge, from Monday 13th June. Charities will have three weeks to complete the initial applications but are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
The Christmas Challenge is the UK’s biggest online match-funding campaign which helps UK-registered charities raise funds for their cause. The Christmas Challenge was launched in 2008 by Sir Alec Reed CBE, founder of Reed Recruitment. Since 2008, the Christmas Challenge has raised over £71 million for 2,500 charity projects.
Funding Available for London charities
Whilst applications are open to all charities, The Big Give has announced it is has match funding specifically available for charities who are supporting vulnerable children living in poverty in London. Charities who meet this criteria are strongly encouraged to visit theBigGive.org.uk for more information and to apply.
About the Christmas Challenge
The Christmas Challenge offers supporters of participating charities the chance to have their donation doubled on theBigGive.org.uk when the campaign goes live. This year, The Christmas Challenge campaign will run for 72 hours, launching at midday on 29th November (#GivingTuesday) and closing on Friday 2nd December.
The match-funding is provided by a range of philanthropic organisations, called ‘Champions’, which in previous years have included The Reed Foundation, The Childhood Trust, Candis Magazine, The Waterloo Foundation, among many others. These Champion funds are joined with pledges from participating charities own major donors to double online donations during the Christmas Challenge.
Key changes
The Big Give has made some significant changes for this year’s Christmas Challenge, which include:
- Match funding to be “ring-fenced” for each charity i.e. no competition.
- The campaign will run over 72 hours with no pausing.
- The Christmas Challenge to launch on #GivingTuesday.
- No fees for charities taking part in the campaign.
