The Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT) is inviting nominations for their Primary Science Teacher Awards 2020 which recognises talented science teachers from early years education through KS1 and KS2 across the UK.

The Awards are open to innovative and creative primary school teachers (full or part-time) who inspire colleagues, engage pupils in science, and contribute to developing science in their school and beyond. Winners will receive a package including £1,000 prize money, science resources for their school, and an invitation to join the PSTT Primary Science Teacher College as a College Fellow.

Anyone involved in primary education can make a nomination. The form is usually completed by the nominee’s Headteacher.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the deadline for submissions has been extended to the 8th January 2021.

A green paper is a government policy consultation paper which is sets out planned policy reforms for people to respond to, which then may be subsequently published as a white paper and further legislation as required. This green paper sets out government proposals on the procurement of public services in the context of Britain leaving the EU. Funded by Hammersmith & Fulham local authority, the course is free for those based in the Borough.

Hammersmith and Fulham Libraries and Archive Service are seeking expressions of interest from voluntary and community organisations based in or near the borough that have a space available to rent for the storing of archives; ideally long term. A room with a strong floor measuring 400 square metres is required (although the team are also open to a smaller space to house part of the collection) and any space would need to be repurposed to fit shelving, air conditioning and would need suitable access in order to bring in large pieces of furniture. There would be no public access to the room needed and the room would only be accessed by 2-3 professionals.

EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE


There has been increasing acknowledgment as to the challenges that people with learning disabilities and/or autism face and the drive to ensure that individuals are not disadvantaged or have their life chances curtailed continues. It’s finally that time of the year. The year for families, communities, friends and neighbours to come together and celebrate Christmas.
The past year has caused hardships to many families, which has had an impact on people’s mental well-being especially children and young people.
We have all helped each other a great deal during these troublesome times.
This year we wanted to celebrate the White City & Wormholt community, especially the youth.
