Many of you will have seen the ‘10 year challenge’ which is doing the rounds on social media, with people posting photographs of themselves – one current and one from a decade ago. This provided a number of opportunities for people to share sometimes strange, often funny photographs – with many looking better at the beginning of 2020 than they did in 2010! However, it got me thinking that an interesting moment might be given to comparing what we, as an organisation, look like today compared to 10 years ago! Stewart White, an Instructor Member of MHFA England has recently set up a new business, based in Hammersmith, to provide Mental Health First Aid training for businesses and individuals. He is running the Adult MHFA Two Day course at the Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith on 27th/28th Jan 2020. Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (STADV) coordinates the ground-breaking coordinated community response to domestic violence and abuse in London. As a pioneer of the first multi-agency group to implement safety measures for victims of domestic abuse, STADV seeks to appoint a dynamic MARAC Team Manager to operationally manage the work of its MARAC Coordination Team in West London. The role will require you to coordinate one MARAC and to line manage four full time MARAC Coordinators. You will provide a high-quality management service delivery, performance and support to the ongoing development of the MARACs. The post will be based in the STADV office with a degree of travelling within West London.
