The Upper Room: Winter Lectures 2017

All our eminent speakers are local people supporting our local charity, and giving their time for free. Please come, enjoy their expertise and support The Upper Room. All lectures will take place in St Saviour’s Church, Cobbold Road, W12 9LN, 8.00-9.00pm. Refreshments will be available from 7.40pm. Admission is free, but Donations welcome.

The Gate Theatre Looking for Level 2 Apprentice in Community Arts Administration

Working in a small venue means that the Gate’s Apprentice observes all of the activities behind running a theatre. A condition of the apprenticeship is ensuring that you have satisfactory college work. As such, this is an exciting learning opportunity.

If you are 16 – 24yrs old and living in London you are eligible to apply. You do not have to have any GCSE or A levels or you may have several, as long as you are not a graduate, you can apply. Due to a condition of our funding you need to have lived in the following London boroughs for at least two years: Barnet, Brent, Camden, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Kensington & Chelsea, and Westminster.

H&F Carers Forum Opportunities

Hammersmith and Fulham Carers Forum is a formal group, supported by Carers Network. This group aims to help local carers:

  • Have their say on local issues for carers
  • Inform the Tri-Borough Carers Partnership Board
  • Help Carers Network plan future events and activities

Fundraising Online Event

Thought about fundraising online? Why not attend an event run by Localgiving here at Sobus on 15th February 2017 at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

The Localgiving support local charitable organisations to diversify their income through online fundraising. They provide tools, training and advice to help local groups connect with supporters online, improve their digital skills and develop practical fundraising experience. It is an event where you will find out about the practicalities of fundraising on line and will be introduced to a pragmatic facility to get started.

Start Your Own Enterprise Course

Tree Shepherd with Wormholt and White City Big Local, Petit Miracles, LBHF and Hammersmith United Charities is offering you an 8-week course in Enterprise Training at the Wood Lane Community Centre, plus free supported trading at the Petit Miracle Hub, business workshops, networking opportunities, mentoring and financial assistance.
