Currently over 0.5% of our population are considered problem gamblers and 7% of the population of the UK are negatively affected by gambling, which is one in 12 people either directly or indirectly affected by gambling-related harms.

The subject of gambling and its associated harms is currently a topic of great discussion at this time and is acknowledged by experts as a serious health issue, with far reaching consequences. It negatively affects finances, mental health and relationships, not just for the gambler but for the those around them.

Working in the public sector requires you to write for a diverse range of people, both internal and external stakeholders. The objective of this course is to understand and practise all the key skills for successful written communication in the Civil Service and beyond.
