Supporting Vulnerable Londoners

Image result for age ukAge UK London will be running a conference in partnership with the London Fire Brigade entitled “ Supporting Vulnerable Londoners”

 

The conference will be taking place on Friday 4th October and will run from 10.30am until 3.15pm and a light sandwich lunch will be provided.

 

It will be taking place at Age UK London, Ground floor, Tavis House, 1 – 6 Tavistock Square London WC1H 9AH.

 

Age UK London is delighted to have some excellent speakers including Deputy Mayor for Fire & Resilience at GLA, Fiona Twycross and Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the London Fire Brigade, Spencer Sutcliffe to name but a few.

 

The conference aims to

  • Increase understanding of those at highest risks in relation to fire
  • Highlight the Fire Brigade’s structure and the wide range of supportive services available
  • Build links between London Fire Brigade and local organisations across London

The Funders Fair 2019

The Funders Fair –  9th October – Kensington Town Hall

 

This year’s funders fair is a little later than usual. It will be held on 9th October at Kensington Town Hall.

 

We are also sharing the event with our colleagues from Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea as we have done I previous years.

And with that I urge all of you to come along….

There will be a selection of funders on the day to help you and to provide information on what they support.

Some will even provide you with useful tips on how to make applications.

 

For many of you obtaining funding has been a long and hard journey, and many of you have still to find the right funder to support you and your cause.

Funding is difficult for nearly everyone and this event will give you the opportunity to explore what you might need to do next on your journey or simply give you ideas for future applications.

It will also be a great opportunity to meet others also thinking about funding, quite simply a great networking event.

 

We at Sobus have 500+groups registered with us, and many of them are small and many new to the funding scene.

For those that have yet to obtain funding and those that have found it difficult when applying for funding this is really the event for you so make sure you come along.

 

Those who are in larger organisations and have years of experience in obtaining funding may have staff and volunteers who could benefit from this event. It really might be just the thing needed to provide that extra bit of development for them.

2nd Young H&F Sexual Health & Wellbeing Roundtable

 

Join Young H&F for our 2nd roundtable discussion on Sexual Health & Wellbeing for young people in the borough.

 

Please join us as we host a conversation about young people’s sexual health & wellbeing in the borough.

This event is the 2nd roundtable in a series and is open to young people, those working with young people through schools, services or youth groups as well as healthcare professionals too.

This event is part of a wider project exploring the barriers which may exist to young people accessing sexual health services and information in Hammersmith and Fulham and how collaborative working can better support young people.

 

YHFF aim to use these roundtables to kickstart an action plan for working with our networks, health services, schools and other stakeholders to support young people’s holistic wellbeing. This event is an opportunity for cross-sector collaboration to shape the project with your views.

Artist and gallery educators facilitate these regular sessions for individuals living with early to mid-stages of dementia and their carers, friends and family members.

 

Each session, explore and discuss one work from the RA collection and conversation is supported by the use of multisensory objects relating to the work.

Sobus is hosting a FREE coffee morning for local businesses on Friday, 27th September 2018 from 8:30am- 10am.

 

We would like to connect with all businesses, whether you are a Start-up, Social enterprise, Charity or a Commercial business.

 

Given the hard time this area has suffered, the idea is for all businesses to connect, network and use our coffee mornings as a platform to be more visible and maybe serve the local community better.
