LEARNING DISABILITIES AND AUTISM:
EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT CONFERENCE

There has been increasing acknowledgment as to the challenges that people with learning disabilities and/or autism face and the drive to ensure that individuals are not disadvantaged or have their life chances curtailed continues. However, further progress and improvements are needed to allow for people to be supported to achieve and reach full potential, rather than just be cared for.
For a short period only we will be offering a 20% discount on tickets. To claim your reduced price ticket all you need to do is register with the promo code LD20 or ask us to hold you a place while you await funding to be approved.

The Learning Disabilities and Autism: Equality and Empowerment conference will be no exception in providing a platform to improve the lives of individuals through a series of presentations, discussions, knowledge sharing and dissemination of best practice.

It’s finally that time of the year. The year for families, communities, friends and neighbours to come together and celebrate Christmas.
The past year has caused hardships to many families, which has had an impact on people’s mental well-being especially children and young people.

Come join us this festive season on the 26th of December ( 2pm – 4pm ) at Bridget’s Joyce Square for a youth gift giving day along with some mulled wine and mince pies for the adults.

If you can, please consider donating any new toys/gifts that we can distribute on the day.

Where can you donate your gifts:
The Hub@79 :Monday, Thursday and Friday ( 10 am to 4 pm )
Our Lady of Fatima, The Presbytery : Every day of the week ( 10am – 5pm ) we can also collect donations.

As you may know, London Travel Watch has been reaching out to industry leaders, politicians and members of the travelling public to get their take on what we should expect to happen to London’s transport in the post-Covid world.

Many of you shared your thoughts with us and we’re really pleased to have heard from a wide range of people. Our work on this is still continuing for another couple of weeks but we wanted to let you know that on 3 December 2020 at 2pm we will be holding a special hour long virtual seminar to present our initial findings.

If you would like to attend you can find out more and register for a place for free here. Please feel free to share with anyone you feel might be interested.
