Due to popular demand our free digital marketing workshops have returned! With the Covid-19 national lockdown requiring many businesses to close, Hammersmith & Fulham Council is helping local businesses to boost their online presence asas the nation emerges from the latest Covid-19 lockdown. The virtual workshops will be delivered by Samer Bata from the Knowledge Acedemy to give business owners the essential digital skills they need to promote their business online.

Who can attend?

The training is open to all businesses in H&F and local residents looking to start a new business.

What will I learn in the workshops?

The workshops will focus on –

Building simple and effective marketing strategies
Mobile marketing platforms
Social Media
Email Marketing
Search Engine Marketing
When will the workshops begin?

There are five separate course dates to choose from with each course consisting of two sessions (each session lasts three hours and will take place via Zoom). Each course is open to 30 people. The time and dates are:

Course 1 : 26 and 27 April 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 2 : 3 and 4 May 2021 , 6pm to 9pm

Course 3: 10 and 11 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 4 : 17 and 18 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 5 : 24 and 25 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Advice Conference

This is a reminder that the coming Advice Conference will be held on the 27h March 2019. It would be great to see as many of you there as possible. We have a mix of interesting speakers in the morning and workshops to cover all the key areas of advice in the afternoon. There will be lunch provided, and an opportunity to network with colleagues.

Young stars recognised at H&F Youth Achievement Awards

H&F’s first ever Youth Achievement awards produced a night to remember, celebrating the most impressive young achievers and talented young people from the borough.

Nominations flooded in from peers, teachers, youth and social workers, ahead of the awards evening.

A judging panel picked out the most deserving winners from a list of young people aged 11-25 who live, work or go to school in the borough – for achievements over the last two years.

 

“These young people are the heart and soul of our borough. Their talents and achievements are a key part of what makes H&F a great place to live, work and study,” said, Cllr Larry Culhane, H&F Cabinet Member for Children and Education.

 

The awards were organised with the support of the H&F Youth Council, and the Young H&F Foundation, with well over 100 nominations received from the public. The judging panel included people from local voluntary organisations, public services and businesses. Each category was sponsored by a company with a presence in the borough.

NHS Hammersmith and Fulham CCG – Financial Recovery – Equality Workshop

 

 

NHS Hammersmith and Fulham CCG would like to invite people living in Hammersmith and Fulham, and their carers, to attend a drop in Equalities Day on our financial recovery plans on:

Date: Wednesday 27 March, 2:30pm – 6pm.

Venue:Irish Cultural Centre, 5 Black’s Rd, Hammersmith, London W6 9DT

The purpose of the drop in is to give local people the opportunity to share how they think the CCG’s proposed financial recovery plans will affect different groups, particularly in consideration of the following: age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, sex, sexual orientation, people who are homeless, rough sleepers, vulnerable migrants, sex workers, gypsies or travellers, carers, different socio-economic groups and other multiply excluded people.

It is really important that we hear your views to help ensure that we are delivering the safest and most equitable level of clinical care possible.

National Park City Festival: Community Activity Grants Are Open!

Applications are now open for National Park City Festival community activity grants.

The Mayor of London is working with the National Park City Foundation, other partners, and Londoners to make London the world’s first National Park City this year. We’ll be marking this moment with the National Park City Festival in July. Now we’d like you to help make it happen.

The festival runs from 20-28 July and will celebrate London’s great outdoor spaces. There’ll be fun activities from culture and health and fitness to wildlife, the environment and more. We will also encourage Londoners to discover new spaces and find fresh ways to get in touch with nature. We want to give all Londoners, community groups and businesses the opportunity to take part. With your help, we can make our city greener, healthier and wilder.

The Mayor is offering community activity grants of £200-2000 to support organisations that want to hold festival activities in their local area. We particularly want to reach out to broader networks and attract audiences who traditionally under-use outdoor space.

Applications are open now with the deadline of 5pm on Friday 15 March. All activities must take place during the National Park City Festival in July.

We would love to hear your fantastic ideas for festival activities from sing-a-long trails and wildlife-hotel building workshops, to park parkour and canal paddle boarding. The Refugee Council are running sessions for adult refugees who’s second language is English. We are currently running an outreach class in the Clem Atlee community hall in Fulham (click Here for a map) for adult refugees to come and practice their English and make friends.

Help shape the future of North End Road – give your views in H&F Council’s online survey

Hammersmith & Fulham Council is investing in a community-led redesign of North End Road in Fulham – and would love to know what you think.

Since 2014, the council has been working hard with businesses, traders and residents to improve North End Road as a thriving retail and food destination.

And now it is ready to move to the next stage.

“We want to do things with residents and businesses, not to them,” said Cllr Andrew Jones, H&F Cabinet Member for the Economy and the Arts. “This is why we’re asking local people and businesses to share their ideas and suggestions on how we can improve North End Road to live and work in and visit – all part of our plan to make H&F the best place to live, work and play in Europe.”

H&F Council has already been talking to shopkeepers, market traders, community representatives and local community groups.

Based on what they said, the council is putting together an initial wish list of possible future improvements. Some of these will be small and quick, others will be long-term projects which need more investment.

All residents are invited to view and give their opinions on the wish list on 8 February (from 2pm to 6pm) and 9 February (from 10am to 2pm) at St John’s Church, North End Road, Fulham (Click Here for a map)

Based on the responses to this and the online questionnaire, the council will come up with a plan for the way forward, which will involve further consultation.
