In partnership with the H&F Volunteer Centre we will be delivering this training event at Dawes Road Hub on 11th May at 11:00, 11am-1pm. The event is aimed at those wishing to become trustees or those who are already trustees and would like to develop their understanding of the role. The event will cover:

  • Management or Executive – where do you draw the line
  • Responsibilities and your accountability
  • Relationship of the team and being effective
  • Delegation
  • What can be achieved

We will be running this fantastic training event on 18th April, 11am-1pm here at Sobus. The event will be delivered by Localgiving who have particular expertise in developing online fundraising methods. This event will run through the key steps of creating and delivering a fundraising plan, with particular emphasis on fundraising online. This session is most appropriate for organisations that have some experience in fundraising from individuals and who want to make their proactive fundraising activities more structured in the future. However it is open to all and we look forward to seeing you.

Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (STADV) coordinates the ground breaking coordinated community response to domestic violence and abuse in London. As a pioneer of the first multi-agency group to implement safety measures for victims of domestic abuse, STADV seeks to appoint a dynamic MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) Team Manager to operationally manage the work of its MARAC Coordination Team in West London. The Information Commissioner’s Office is currently holding a consultation inviting feedback on it’s draft GDPR consent guidance. The guidance is designed to give more detailed, practical help for UK organisations on consent under the GDPR. The GDPR is planned to come into effect from May 2018 and the consultation is open until March 31st. For further information click here.

Our next Local Hero campaign is from 1st – 30th April 2017. Localgiving will be awarding £5,000 in prizes to the causes supported by the top 20 fundraisers in April. Participants will be ranked according to the number of unique online donors from whom they secured sponsorship throughout the month.
