We are excited to announce a range of initiatives to support your small charity to raise funds in Small Charity Week 2017. Fundraising Day is the perfect opportunity for small charities to engage with current and new supporters to get fundraising. Fundraising Day 2017 will take place on 22nd June, but lots of the activities and events have deadlines so get involved before then and get planning now.

The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham will be running its popular Coach Trip Scheme again this year. This scheme enables local older people’s groups to have a day out by helping with the cost of hiring transport.  A contribution of up to £300 will be awarded to successful applicants. To be eligible to apply:

  • Applicants must be based in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and support people living in the borough
  • Can show they support residents from all communities
  • Should have a local management committee (of at least 3 members)
  • Have their own bank account
  • Have an income of less than £10,000

This is a new post which will work as part of a small housing team at Standing Together. The primary aim will be to develop a model for Housing First for women experiencing violence against women and girls (VAWG). There will also be additional responsibilities in-line with supporting the homelessness response to VAWG. We are seeking an individual who is committed to working as part of a partnership to improve and deliver advice and support with the aim of increasing homelessness prevention through timely interventions. We will be running this fantastic training event on 18th April, 11am-1pm here at Sobus. The event will be delivered by Localgiving who have particular expertise in developing online fundraising methods. This event will run through the key steps of creating and delivering a fundraising plan, with particular emphasis on fundraising online. This session is most appropriate for organisations that have some experience in fundraising from individuals and who want to make their proactive fundraising activities more structured in the future. However it is open to all and we look forward to seeing you.

Standing Together Against Domestic Violence (STADV) coordinates the ground breaking coordinated community response to domestic violence and abuse in London. As a pioneer of the first multi-agency group to implement safety measures for victims of domestic abuse, STADV seeks to appoint a dynamic MARAC (Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference) Team Manager to operationally manage the work of its MARAC Coordination Team in West London.
