The shortlist of inspirational local people nominated for a prestigious H&F Civic Honours award has been revealed.

These 27 finalists are members of the local community who continue to make an incredible contribution to H&F.

Now in their second year, the H&F Civic Honours are the council’s way of recognising the people who lead fantastic efforts to improve life in Hammersmith & Fulham.

 

We want to make sure we give people doing great things in our community the credit and gratitude they deserve,” said Cllr Sue Fennimore, Deputy Leader of Hammersmith & Fulham. “Which is what the H&F Civic Honours are all about.

“And when you read all the nominations it just really hits home how much is going on to support and inspire people every day.”

 

The finalists have been invited to a gala awards ceremony which was held at Hammersmith Town Hall on Wednesday 12 June.

 

The H&F Civic Honours were launched last year, and are now held annually to celebrate:

  • and ingenuity of our incredible community.

Do you believe that people should be at the heart of the way our health and care system is designed and delivered?

 

At Healthwatch Central West London we have three local committees that represent the boroughs we work in:

– Hammersmith & Fulham

– Kensington & Chelsea

– Westminster

The local committees are a key aspect of our governance structure and ensure that Healthwatch represents the views and experience of local people.

They provide the link between local people and community members with the board, as well as a way of ensuring that Healthwatch is responsive to local issues and that our work plan is co-produced.

This year the date for our Annual Meeting is Monday 15th July 2019.

 

We currently have vacancies on each of our Local Committees.

We therefore need to conduct a process to fill spaces on each Local Committee.

If you are interested in joining one of our Local Committees, please read the accompanying documents to get more information about the role and whether you are eligible to stand.

 

To put yourself forward for election, please complete the application form and include a brief statement of your skills and experience (no more than 300 words) and return it to Alex Weston by 2nd July 2019.

 

If we receive more nominations than the places currently available, we will hold an election.
