Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham (CAHF) is recruiting for two roles which will suit candidates with some experience of triage and assessment for clients facing issues around benefits, debt, housing and employment.

Foodbank Assessor/Trainee Adviser

You will work closely with the food bank’s staff and volunteers to understand the cause of their service users’ food poverty and support them in achieving income maximisation. You will attend 5 sessions per week and be responsible for triage, completing assessments, providing initial information and advice, issuing foodbank vouchers and booking appointments with the Foodbank Adviser where appropriate.

Assessor – Outreach and Adviceline

Working as part of a team, you will provide initial assessments and advice by telephone, email and face-to-face at outreach locations throughout the Borough so that the client receives the most appropriate source of help available for their needs.  Your time will be split across the different channels on a rota basis.

Both roles are closely supported by the CAHF supervision team who will help to ensure you become a certificated Citizens Advice adviser within an agreed timeframe.

All candidates will be considered for both roles but please indicate if you have a preference. Neither role is suitable for hybrid working.
