LOCAL CHARITY SEEKS GRANT-MAKING TRUST FUNDRAISER

Family Friends is an award-winning charity in North Kensington which supports local disadvantaged families.

We are seeking a fundraiser with two years’ experience to help raise funds from trusts and statutory sources. This is a great opportunity to build fundraising experience and help the local community.

Candidates need to have excellent written and spoken English and be numerate. The consultancy role is for one day per week.

Who we are
Carers Network’s vision is that every unpaid carer is recognised and leads a healthy, fulfilling life with control over their caring role. We have been working with carers across Central London for 25 years to provide information, advice and support, along with social events, training, activities and other services to ensure that carers are well informed, supported and healthy.

About the role
We are now looking for a Head of Fundraising and Communications to deliver our new strategy, aiming to develop significantly more voluntary income projects for the beneficiary carers, including health and wellbeing, training, befriending and outreach services with partner organisations.

Working in a small, friendly and dynamic team of 22 people the post holder will report directly to the CEO and will line manage a Marketing and Communications Officer. In this diverse and varied role, the post holder will spend the majority of their time (80%) working with prospective donors including charitable trusts, grants and corporate partners, working to an income target of £100,000.

You will also play a key part in shaping and delivering a compelling, tangible communications strategy, highlighting the vital work of Carers Network and ensuring first-class supporter journey experience, whilst delivering timely fundraising & impact reports (20%).

About you
This role would best suit a first-class fundraiser who is keen to expand their experience and knowledge across the board, confident in delivering six figure bids and line management, and a distinguished communicator.
