This is a Hounslow based partnership, in which all Secondary Schools in the borough are uniting with Spark! and other key partners, to host it’s first ever Virtual Careers Fair. This will be held on the 3rd March, to coincide with National Careers Week, and we are looking for as many employers as possible to take part.

The careers fair will be a chance for employers to engage with an entire borough of students, who over the past year have missed out on so many vital employability opportunities. Employers can take part simply by sharing resources, or recording a short video, hosting a Q&A session, or even giving a live address. Whatever time you can give will be very appreciated. Thank you very much to all who have already expressed an initial interest in participating, if you have yet to do so please complete this short form.

You’re not making any commitment at this stage, simply expressing an openness to take part. At the same time we are asking employers if they are able to consider taking on work experience placements during 2021. Not only is this an opportunity to help students understand employment opportunities and career pathways in your sector, but you’ll also be part of an interesting and innovative experience.

If you have any questions or thoughts on this please feel free to contact me on mattlent@sparkcharity.org.uk.

With a national lockdown in place, restrictions on many businesses remain largely the same as under Tier 4, with many forced to close their premises or restrict operation. In particular, those providing non-essential goods and services in retail, hospitality and leisure. However, you may still be able to trade via takeaway, delivery and click-and-collect services so make sure you check the guidelines to operate safely. Read more
