Due to popular demand our free digital marketing workshops have returned! With the Covid-19 national lockdown requiring many businesses to close, Hammersmith & Fulham Council is helping local businesses to boost their online presence asas the nation emerges from the latest Covid-19 lockdown. The virtual workshops will be delivered by Samer Bata from the Knowledge Acedemy to give business owners the essential digital skills they need to promote their business online.

Who can attend?

The training is open to all businesses in H&F and local residents looking to start a new business.

What will I learn in the workshops?

The workshops will focus on –

Building simple and effective marketing strategies
Mobile marketing platforms
Social Media
Email Marketing
Search Engine Marketing
When will the workshops begin?

There are five separate course dates to choose from with each course consisting of two sessions (each session lasts three hours and will take place via Zoom). Each course is open to 30 people. The time and dates are:

Course 1 : 26 and 27 April 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 2 : 3 and 4 May 2021 , 6pm to 9pm

Course 3: 10 and 11 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 4 : 17 and 18 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 5 : 24 and 25 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

There is an exciting initiative that takes place every year which aims at helping civic organisations get involved in Parliament and UK democracy. UK Parliament Week,  now in it’s seventh year is an annual festival that engages people from across the UK with Parliament. This year the festival will be taking place between the 13 – 19 November.

We are excited to announce a range of initiatives to support your small charity to raise funds in Small Charity Week 2017. Fundraising Day is the perfect opportunity for small charities to engage with current and new supporters to get fundraising. Fundraising Day 2017 will take place on 22nd June, but lots of the activities and events have deadlines so get involved before then and get planning now.

In partnership with the H&F Volunteer Centre we will be delivering this training event at Dawes Road Hub on 11th May at 11:00, 11am-1pm. The event is aimed at those wishing to become trustees or those who are already trustees and would like to develop their understanding of the role. The event will cover:

  • Management or Executive – where do you draw the line
  • Responsibilities and your accountability
  • Relationship of the team and being effective
  • Delegation
  • What can be achieved

We will be running this fantastic training event on 18th April, 11am-1pm here at Sobus. The event will be delivered by Localgiving who have particular expertise in developing online fundraising methods. This event will run through the key steps of creating and delivering a fundraising plan, with particular emphasis on fundraising online. This session is most appropriate for organisations that have some experience in fundraising from individuals and who want to make their proactive fundraising activities more structured in the future. However it is open to all and we look forward to seeing you.
