Due to popular demand our free digital marketing workshops have returned! With the Covid-19 national lockdown requiring many businesses to close, Hammersmith & Fulham Council is helping local businesses to boost their online presence asas the nation emerges from the latest Covid-19 lockdown. The virtual workshops will be delivered by Samer Bata from the Knowledge Acedemy to give business owners the essential digital skills they need to promote their business online.

Who can attend?

The training is open to all businesses in H&F and local residents looking to start a new business.

What will I learn in the workshops?

The workshops will focus on –

Building simple and effective marketing strategies
Mobile marketing platforms
Social Media
Email Marketing
Search Engine Marketing
When will the workshops begin?

There are five separate course dates to choose from with each course consisting of two sessions (each session lasts three hours and will take place via Zoom). Each course is open to 30 people. The time and dates are:

Course 1 : 26 and 27 April 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 2 : 3 and 4 May 2021 , 6pm to 9pm

Course 3: 10 and 11 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 4 : 17 and 18 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

Course 5 : 24 and 25 May 2021, 6pm to 9pm

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE’S MENTAL HEALTH: NEW NORMAL – SAME CRISIS

Our seventh national CPD accredited conference will assess how the crisis’ in children and young people’s mental health services have been compounded by COVID-19, identifying solutions and the transferable benefits provided by virtual platforms – such as streamlining access to clinicians, as well as benefits to CAMHS service providers, including strengthened multidisciplinary working as a result of more regular meetings between teams – that can be carried over to the post-COVID world; both for service users and professionals.

The programme will also equip delegates with knowledge of emerging trends in the interaction between online platforms for gaming, gambling and addiction in children and young people, as well as tackling issues with access to services, funding and legislating to support CAMHS and service users.

New E-learning course and Bursary places available for International Development members
To celebrate the launch of our new E-Learning course, focusing on ‘Major Donor’, the FSI are offering 25 bursary places for 25 international development charities to access this interactive online course entirely free of charge. New £4m fund for charities and community groups tackling loneliness
Local Connections Fund is now open for application from charities and community interest groups that are working to help social isolation across their communities. The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and The National Lottery Community Fund are investing £2 million each. This will be used to fund hundreds of ‘microgrants’ between £300 and £2,500, so small, local organisations. See here for more details on how to apply.

Community Business Renewal Fund now open for application
Power to Change has launched the Community Business Renewal Initiative, in response to the COVID-19 crisis and this £3million Community Business Renewal Fund is part of this support package for the community business sector. STUDENT MENTAL HEALTH: RESPONDING TO THE CRISIS

COVID-19 has intensified dislocation amongst campus communities, propelled healthcare students onto the front line of a global pandemic and upended traditional teaching models; but it will pass – and when it does, preexisting issues will resurface compounded. This conference will break-down the cultures, economic factors, social and institutional pressures that contributed to dramatic rises in disclosures of mental health issues and student suicides at universities in the UK – providing delegates with the knowledge and tools to ensure that students return to campuses better equipped after the pandemic.
