Association of Chairs / Mentoring & Peer Support for London Chairs

Association of Chairs is a network for Chairs and Vice Chairs working in social purpose and not-for-profit organisations.

I’m Lally and I’m leading our London project at AoC, which is providing extra support specifically for London Chairs and Vice Chairs in the form of monthly in-person peer support events and a Co-Mentoring Scheme. This is thanks to specialist funder City Bridge Foundation.

Our mission is:

  • To help enable more London Chairs to lead more effectively
  • For Chairs to have access to a London network for mutual support
  • For more equity, diversity and inclusion among London Chairs

We have a great programme of monthly in-person London peer sessions lined up for the Autumn, kicking off in September and our co-mentoring scheme for London Chairs is going really well too and the application process is open for that, with the next matching taking place in October time. We’re into the second year of our London Project now and we are focussing on our EDI strategy this year too. So lots going on.

Our updated London Project web-page can be found online here.

We’re so keen to get the word out to as many London Chairs / Vice Chairs / Co-Chairs and aspiring Chairs as possible and these events and co-mentoring scheme are totally free of charge.

£10 Tickets for Pins & Needles at Kiln Theatre

My mailing lists have been allocated some £10 Tickets for Pins and Needles at Kiln Theatre.

Pins and Needles is a Rob Drummond play that explores the politics around vaccines, and the human stories behind them. Rob Drummond, whose plays are ‘utterly unpredictable’ (The Stage), explores the politics around vaccines, and the human stories behind them.

CAUTION: Contains truth, lies and misinformation. You decide.

Rob is putting science and scepticism to the test in his new play. For research, he speaks to Mary, a mother trying to make the best decisions for her family, Robert, an angry son who distrusts institutions, and Edward Jenner, the father of modern vaccinations. The more he listens, the more he struggles to keep his own subjectivity off the table, which begs the question – how do you know who to trust?

The £10 tickets are for all performances from Thu 19 – Wed 25 Sept

(Tickets must be booked by Sunday 22 September)

You can also get £5 off all tickets for performances from Thu 26 Sept – Sat 12 Oct

(Tickets must be booked by Sunday 29 September)

To book tickets please call the Box Office on 0207 328 1000 or online and use my promocode BID

The Agents of Change Team would love to invite you to join us to celebrate the past, present and future of the Agents of Change programme!

This year the Agents of Change team has taken the time to listen to your feedback about the programme and we deeply appreciate all of the Agents who took part in our feedback sessions and interviews. We are incredibly grateful for the personal journeys we’ve been part of, and we would love to share with you some highlights about what we’ve learned and how it will impact the future of the programme
