West London Business has been selected by London Business Hub to deliver the Government’s new Peer Networks programme locally.

This programme will establish diverse groups of business leaders from across West London to work collaboratively through business issues and widen professional networks.

Each network will use interactive action learning to enable you to discuss your own challenges, gain and reflect on valuable feedback from your peers, and implement practical solutions to overcome problems and challenges.

From finance and HR to sales, marketing and more, expert facilitators will work with you to give you the flexibility to create a trusted support network – helping you to build and strengthen your business and improve its overall performance.

Peer Networks is a free programme delivered through a series of high-impact group sessions, with each cohort led by a trained facilitator. Click here

The Photojournalism Hub has been awarded funding from W12Together to run a project for youths (16+) in White City and Wormholt starting from the 7th November.

Following on the success of the JustZine magazine (see all the issues on the site) produced with youths in White City, I am very pleased to continue to offer this incredible opportunity where participants will, under the guidance of a professional media facilitator, produce and publish their work in an online news zine covering local stories in the community of White City and Wormholt.  The project will equip participants with a working portfolio, mentorship and working experience in the publishing and creative industry that can assist them in gaining access to further education and/or work placements. I would love to reach out to as many youths as possible in the local area.

Centre for Mental Health’s A Year in Our Lives project is asking members of the public to write a bit about how 2020 has affected them. The project is building a digital archive to record and research people’s experiences in their own words, and it’s not just for people with mental problems.

Join us at CGL The Alcohol Service to mark this year’s Alcohol Awareness Week which runs from 16-22 November on the theme of ‘Alcohol and mental health’. The campaign provides an ideal opportunity to highlight the link between alcohol and mental health and how by making changes to our drinking behaviour we can reduce our risk of developing or worsening mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
