Please join Hammersmith & Fulham Public Health team at our H&F Women’s Hub Market Warming event happening on October 1, 2025 at 12:00 PM on Teams.

We are developing an exciting new Women’s Hub for the borough and are looking for an organisation to lead and manage the Hub. The purpose of the Hub is to offer a safe, non-judgemental space for women from different background to come together to build resilience and self-esteem to support their overall wellbeing. If your organisation has experience of leading within the community and facilitating peer-to-peer support then we want to hear from you.

The summer is officially over and that ‘back to school’ feeling is in the air: all of the excitement for the new school year mixed with a bit of nervousness about the changes. Very normal feelings, but for some children, that nervousness is overwhelming – and that’s where we at The Kids Network can step in.

Do you work in a school or know of a child that could benefit from our brilliant, proven mentoring programme? Now’s the time to get in touch with Priya, our Schools Partnerships Lead – she can talk you through the referral process and all the benefits of the programme.

We’re announcing the launch of an exciting and ambitious new programme, London Resilient Communities!

London Resilient Communities is a programme designed to empower communities and strengthen resilience across London. The programme will build on the first ever London Community Resilience Toolkit and pilot project exploring the development of Community Resilience Hubs.

Come and find out about grant funding, training, and wider support by registering here.

We need your help promoting this programme to organisations like yours—far and wide. Please include a link to the webpage within the caption of your social media post.

This event and programme are facilitated by Groundwork, British Red Cross and London Resilience. It is part of a series of promotional events running from September to November 2025. Please let us know any upcoming events with voluntary, community and faith partners that may be relevant.

Let’s work together to help improve the resilience of London’s communities.

The Fulham 10k race, held by RunThrough and presented by Nuun, is on Sunday 16th November, 2025. The race start time will be 9am and the event has an estimated finish time of 11am.

A map of the route and associated road closures can be found using the links below:

https://www.fulham10k.com/course/

https://www.fulham10k.com/road-closure/

Advanced warning signs will be in place 2 weeks prior to the event, warning of disruptions between 6:00am and 12:00pm on the day of the run. All impacted residents are sent a letter 6 and 3 weeks ahead of the event explaining the details of the road closure timings. There will be a residents hotline and information section on the website for impacted residents.

We would actively like to support any local causes with charity places and welcome any local causes to get in touch and receive free charity spots for the run. Please let me know if you know of any potentially interested causes.

Over recent years we have seen companies from all industry sectors take a pro-active approach to these local events, utilising the event to help promote their services, products, internal wellbeing programmes, and even to drive their corporate social responsibility and links to their chosen charity partners. If you’d like to find out more on becoming an event partner please let me know, and I can introduce you to our partnerships team.

If there are any major concerns at this point, please do let me know so that we can seek to resolve them. I will be available to assist at all times, however, if there are any major concerns, if they could be flagged as soon as possible then it would be greatly appreciated. If you have any other questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

September is Preparedness Month and after four heatwaves this summer, it’s clear that London is increasingly challenged by extreme heat. As the summer season winds down, it’s time to focus on how London can prepare for rising temperatures and ensure that next summer we’re ready.

London Resilience is working in collaboration with Shade the UK to interview people in London about their experiences with extreme heat. This project will help inform the Mayor’s Heat Risk Delivery Plan for London.

Tackling the impacts of extreme heat requires building a culture of resilience where no one is left behind. This is why we want to engage with Voluntary, Community, and Faith organisations who work with people considered more vulnerable to heatwaves and those that are currently underrepresented in current heat-resilience conversations.

What will participating involve?

  • 30minute interview (in person or online).
  • Participants will get a £20 e-voucher.
  • Language translation (including BSL) is available if required.
  • The interviews will be carried out throughout September.

Who can participate?

  • People who work or volunteer for a Voluntary, Community, or Faith organisation in London.
  • Beneficiaries of Voluntary, Community, or Faith organisations in London.

How can you help?

  • Please share this with organisations within your network.
  • Get in touch with shreya.kapur@shadetheuk.co.uk with any contacts in your network that you think could participate in this project.

For more information, please visit the website.

If you have any questions, please contact shreya.kapur@shadetheuk.co.uk

We have a suite of offices to let on the second floor of our vibrant building in SW6 on the border with W6.

The space comprises four offices, large kitchen area, shower room and a utility/WC room.

Our preference is to let as a suite of offices, but will also consider letting offices individually. Offices are suitable for 2-6 people.

Rent includes electricity and gas but not Business Rates if applicable. Use of our garden space and a discount on rental of larger meeting rooms within our Community Centre.

Good links to public transport – 15 minute walk to Hammersmith and Barons Court tube stations and a bus stop outside the building with buses to West Brompton and Putney Bridge.

The suite has just been rewired and redecorated.

These offices are being let out by The Creighton Centre a local charity based in Fulham. The rental income will help to fund our charitable work in the area.

My name is Claudia, and I am a Research Officer at the Self-Care Academic Research Unit (SCARU) at Imperial College London. I’m reaching out to invite your support to help us recruit participants to the FOCUS Research Study which is being led by our research unit. Our ethically approved FOCUS study is exploring how people living with osteoarthritis manage their symptoms using lifestyle medicine approaches (with a focus on using anti-inflammatory diet to support self-management of OA symptoms). I am emailing you as perhaps some of the people who reach out to you may suffer with this condition and so may be interested in being a part of research.

The ethically approved research study has the potential to shape how we understand and support the use of food-as-medicine in OA management. By helping us connect with individuals living with OA, we believe your organisation can play a key role in advancing scientific knowledge & ultimately improving the quality of life for millions affected by this condition.

We’re looking to identify up to 20 individuals with OA to participate in personal interviews (30–45 minutes, via Zoom or Teams) and be scheduled at the participant’s convenience. All responses will be kept confidential, and each conversation will provide valuable insights to guide future health strategies and support systems.

Please reach out to me via email claudia.hobbs@ic.ac.uk or on 0207 574 7604 if you’d like to be interviewed.
