Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales

Unrestricted grants of up to £50,000 are available to small and local charities working with people to overcome complex social issues across England and Wales. The social issues supported by the foundation are:

• Addiction or dependency on alcohol, drugs, and/or gambling
• Asylum seekers and refugees
• Care leavers
• Domestic and sexual abuse
• Homelessness/vulnerably housed
• Learning disabilities
• Mental health
• Offending, prison or community service
• Sexual exploitation
• Trafficking and modern slavery
• Young parents

Magic Little Grants 2021

Grants of £500 are available to charities, community groups and schools that are either in their first year of operation of have an annual income of under £250,000. The fund will support the following themes:

1. Improving mental wellbeing
2. Enabling community participation in the arts
3. Preventing or reducing the impact of poverty
4. Supporting marginalised groups and promoting equality
5. Improving biodiversity and green spaces
6. Enabling participation in physical activity
7. Responding to the climate emergency and promoting sustainability
8. Increasing community access to outdoor space

Funding for Creative & Mental Health Opportunities for Ethnically Diverse Communities (UK)

The Baring Foundation’s Arts Programme has launched a new Fund supporting projects that promote the use of art to address mental health problems in people from ethnically diverse backgrounds. Grants of between £10,000 and £40,000 are available to charities and not-for-profit arts organisations that focus on offering creative opportunities to people living with mental health problems in ethnically diverse communities across the UK. The type of work funded might include shadowing, internships or apprenticeships, or mentoring or free training opportunities. £500,000 is available in total for this Fund, and the Foundation expects to award in the region of fifteen or more grants. The deadline for applications is 12pm on the 21st April 2021.Click here

The aim of £1 million challenge fund is to incentivise innovators to address socially impactful issues facing London, help the city emerge stronger from COVID-19 and ensure the capital is prepared for future disruptive challenges. Funding to Support Grassroots Organisations During the Coronavirus (UK)

In response to the coronavirus, The Alpkit Foundation are prioritising funding to support projects that demonstrate an immediate impact on those affected by the crisis. Grants are available to grassroots organisations serving those affected by the outbreak. Funding can provide support for activities which might include helping vulnerable and elderly people who are self-isolating, supporting the homeless, providing access to food, medicines or social care, supporting foodbanks, increasing the number of meals on wheels deliveries, and bringing exercise indoors. Applications can be made at any time and will be checked on a daily basis. Click here

NFU Mutual Community Giving Fund (UK)

Charities, schools, and community groups can apply for grants of up to £1,000 through the NFU Mutual Community Giving Fund. The fund is available in areas that are local to NFU operations in the UK. Applications are likely to be more successful if they meet one or more of the funds priorities. These are connecting the community; providing care and support to vulnerable members of the community; relieving poverty; improving the health and wellbeing; and advancing education and experiences for young people. Funding to Support Women’s Organisations During the Covid-19 Pandemic (UK)

Grants of up to £40,000 are available to charitable women’s organisations across the UK working to enable women and girls to improve their mental health and wellbeing and/or improve their financial resilience during the Covid-19 pandemic. With funds from the Tampon Tax Fund, Rosa UK and Smallwood Trust have collaborated to create the Women Thrive Fund which will enable organisations to respond to the crisis and support women and girls to overcome the barriers they face. Applicants can also ask for an additional 25% of their grant request for costs to strengthen their organisation. Proposals are particularly welcome from organisations working with vulnerable, disadvantaged and/or under-represented groups such as Black and minoritised groups, older women, those with disabilities, and LGBT+.
