Job Title: CLIC Sargent Project – Telephone Adviser
Hours: Full-time
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham
Salary: £26,928 – 28,500
Type of Contract: Fixed Term one year up 31/03/2019, possibility of extension subject to performance and continual funding.
We deliver a pioneering project via telephone and electronic media for the national cancer charity CLIC Sargent. We require a dynamic individual who can sensitively deliver generalist advice, to young people diagnosed with cancer and their families/carers.
This role is an opportunity to engage with young people and families in an often difficult time and reassure them in terms of options and steps they can take in whatever welfare advice issue they present with. Knowing they have options to consider gives them reassurance in a time of uncertainty.
The advice areas are varied and interesting, with the opportunity to research and think outside the box to find the right answer. It allows you to develop a warm rapport with CLIC Sargent social workers all over the UK, and the accurate advice given allows the social workers to better help the families and young people they are working with to maximise the service overall.
