Announced earlier this year, the Kickstart Scheme is a £2 billion investment by the government to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds.
Businesses are now able to sign up to be part of the landmark scheme, aimed at giving young people a future of opportunity and hope by creating high-quality, government-subsidised jobs across the UK.
We have secured funding for 57 free courses for residents of England including several brand new courses! We have access to a range of fully funded level 2 courses that offer huge advantages, helping you to learn and progress. We want to support you in focusing on retraining or up-skilling, providing you with motivation, job satisfaction, and brand new qualifications.Online learning gives you the flexibility to study all from the comfort of your own home or office with no strict deadlines or timetabling. Our free courses are fully accredited by NCFE and successful completers will be awarded a formal qualification. There is a range of courses to choose from including mental health, digital skills, a variety of business workshops and a host of health and social care courses to name a few. The online training is funded by the Adult Education Budget (AEB) via the UK Government in the form of the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) – providing communities throughout England access to fully funded training and qualifications. Ten charities are collaborating to raise £500,000 between them through a virtual evening of celebrity entertainment, performances and prize draws, in a less competitive approach to fundraising organised by Volunteering Matters.
The Massive Get Together on 17 September will be hosted by Gaby Roslin and Amanda Byram with a line up of well known singers, comedians and television personalities. Proceeds will be shared between Marie Curie, the Children’s Trust, FareShare, St John Ambulance, Royal Voluntary Service, Love Your Neighbour, Crisis, the Conservation Volunteers, Thames Hospice and Volunteering Matters.
