The Alcohol Service is a free service to the residents of, Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster. We are a welcoming service for people having trouble with alcohol use or who are affected by alcohol use issues. We offer a range of services including Family and Carers, Older peoples, and Counselling.

The Charity Retail Association have updated their excellent advice for charity shops on how to re-open safely when they are allowed to do so. It’s brilliant, and lots of it will apply to any organisation currently planning to reopen, so it’s well worth a read even if you are not a charity shop! Find out more.

In response to the coronavirus, BBC Children in Need are temporarily pausing their current grant programmes to launch two new Covid-19 Response Grants to enable organisations to continue to support disadvantaged children and young people aged 18 years and under. The funding will be open to current grantees and new applicants to help them to respond and adapt to the impact of the coronavirus. From the 18th May 2020 current grant-holders will be able to apply for funding of up to £5,000 over a six-month period through the Covid-19 2020 Booster Grants Programme. From the 8th June registered not-for-profit organisations will be able to apply to the Covid-19 Large Grants programme for funding of up to £80,000 over an 18-month period. The government has published a 50 page document outlining how the country will move out of the current crisis into a recovery phase. Confusingly, there are some critical differences between these plans and the rules remaining in force in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and there has been much debate in the press and elsewhere about whether the overall policy is clear or muddled.
