London Funders – The London Community Response Fund

The London Community Response to the COVID-19 pandemic is coordinated by London Funders, the membership network for funders and investors of London’s civil society. There are three types of grants available in the new wave of funding announced on 1 July 2020:

  • Crisis grants are for organisations that need to provide food, essentials and support as a matter of urgency to communities in crisis;
  • Enable grants support work that helps to prevent difficulties arising from the crisis escalating, and that enables people to emerge from the crisis; and
  • Adapt grants help organisations to restart, adapt or collaborate for the future.

The application process is open to all civil society organisations across the capital. You can apply for funding under this wave even if you have previously received funding under wave one (food and essentials) or wave 2 (crisis response or delivering differently). The Morrisons Foundation COVID-19 Homeless Support Fund

In recognition of the fact that the homeless are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 because of increased likelihood of underlying health conditions and less access to basic sanitation, the Morrisons Foundation Trustees have pledged £500,000 towards its Homeless Support Fund. Registered charities that serve the homeless through outreach and support; delivery of services in hostels and shelters; and/ or the provision of information and advice can apply for grants to a maximum of £10,000. Applications are being considered on a weekly basis until the £500,000 emergency fund is depleted. After this, homeless charities are still welcome to submit applications for support under the established grant funding process. More details on eligibility and how to apply can be found here.
