In April 2018 the Government is planning to impose an arbitrary cap on the amount of support disabled people can claim from the Access to Work Scheme. This policy will make it much harder for disabled people to find and keep a job and has already come into effect for new applicants. To find out more, click here.
The Chair of Action on Disability, a charity based in Hammersmith and Fulham, is asking for your help with a campaign run with AoD to set up a Parliamentary petition to put pressure on the Government to drop this draconian, short-sighted policy. The petition needs 10,000 signatures to force a Government response and 100,000 signatures to trigger a debate in Parliament. For the petition click here.
