Small community groups, local charities and individuals can apply for grants of between £100 and £5,000 for equipment and to support projects that tackle loneliness amongst older people and adults with a disability. The funding can be used for day trips, outings and group holidays in the UK, activities, transport as well as equipment and materials. Grants for individuals, must be completed by a third party who knows the individual in a professional or community-based capacity such as healthcare professionals, social workers or charity or support group representatives. The funding is being made available through the Barchester Healthcare Foundation and applications can be submitted at any time.
