Small and micro not for profit food redistributors can apply for grants of between £5,000 and £10,000 to redistribute surplus food from retailers, wholesalers and food manufacturers to vulnerable people and those in need who are affected by the coronavirus. The funding is being made through the available the Waste and Resources Action Programme’s (WRAP) Emergency Surplus Food Grant – Phase 2 and can help with capital and revenue costs such as transporting the surplus food or any increased demand and capacity issues.
