Introducing SOLID
Welcome to SOLID, the Sobus Online Learning, Information & Development tool for Hammersmith & Fulham Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) organisations registered with Sobus.
Why online learning?
Up until now Sobus has often been asked to provide training where either the numbers wanting that subject at that particular time is too low. It has often been the case that we do arrange a training course, many of those booked to attend cancel at the last minute because of other issues that need their immediate attention. We therefore either try to point you towards another training course run by a third party, often at a price. Alternatively, we will work the issue through with you on a one to one basis where we can. However, our capacity is limited and often we cannot provide this support to all who need it.
Covid-19 has made all of us realise the benefits of working on line, with many of us becoming more familiar with meetings, events and activities held on online that we can join from any location. Therefore, we are delighted to offer SOLID, a FREE online training and learning system for Hammersmith & Fulham Voluntary & Community Organisations.
What does SOLID offer
Members can access around 500 FREE training and learning activities at a time and place that suits them. You can track your progress, identify additional activities and courses that are needed across your organisation, and provide staff, volunteers and trustees with access to training and development as and when it is needed.

The courses are made up of different activities, some are very quick and easy, taking just a few minutes to complete, and others need a little more thought and time. All allow you to monitor your progress, so that you can build your own profile of subjects and gain clarity about what you know, and develop a training plan for your organisation.
Sobus will be adding further courses to SOLID based on your feedback and requests, including specific courses tailored to Hammersmith & Fulham, fundraising, setting up an organisation and much more.
