Female* Finance Officer

ADVANCE is a well respected and well established charity working to support women to cope and recover from experiences of domestic abuse and supporting women who are at risk of offending or with short term sentences to reduce offending. Established in 1998 to work within domestic abuse, we specialise in a range of services which support women at high risk through services based at our Hammersmith offices and at co-located offices across four West London boroughs. Five years ago we diversified our services to start our successful Minerva project, working with women offenders, many of whom are also experiencing domestic abuse. Recently Advance became part of the Angelou Partnership who successfully won the contract for an exciting new range of services seeking to counteract Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in the three borough area (Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster and Hammersmith & Fulham). This will include sexual violence, FGM, forced marriage, honour based violence and work with younger women.

Female* Finance Officer
Contract: Permanent
Salary: NJC Scale 26-28 £25,742 – 27,244 pro rata, per annum, inc. London Weighting
Working hours: 21 hours per week, weekdays
Work Location: Based in Business Support Office, Hammersmith & Fulham.

The Finance Officer will work as a member of the Business Support Office to provide a comprehensive financial service to ADVANCE. They will provide financial support to managers, project staff and volunteers delivering services, working within organisational policies and procedures to maximise our effectiveness. With experience of using accounting software and a current working knowledge of QuickBooks or other similar accounting package, the post-holder will also play a role in developing our financial capacity, keep abreast of relevant new and emerging charity finance legislative and practice developments, and ensure the services we provide deliver value for money.
