These sessions are open to all practitioners who may use interpreters when working with families where English isn’t their first language or who have more complex communication needs.
The workshop will explore:
– why working with a trained interpreter in safeguarding meetings is critical
– the importance of safety, quality and equity for all parties in a safeguarding meeting where an interpreter is present
– good practice guide for practitioners working with interpreters.
This course is an excellent opportunity for all managers and front-line staff who are using interpreters in their line of work, to attend a really informative course that will enable them to use interpreters in the most proficient way, not only for themselves, but for their clients also.
